"As a passionate teaching assistant dedicated tutor, I specialize in empowering elementary through high school students to take pride in the process of strategic learning. With a full educational background from the University of California system, including a master’s degree from UCLA and a bachelor’s degree from UC Davis, I provide a unique expertise to visualizing math and physics concepts in ways that are used in world class research at the UC institutions. As a meteorologist, I use many different flavors of math and physics that students learn in preparation for college, whether it be quick brain math tricks that can be used in SAT math but also long multi-step equations that are used to solve complex problems. My expertise spans a variety of subjects, including mathematics (including SAT and ACT), physics, earth sciences and french, tailored to meet each student's unique needs.
As a teaching assistant of the number one public university in America, I've learned how to work with learning styles from a diverse group of bright students, and meeting them where they are, building upon their strengths and working on their challenges. I take pride in creating a personalized and supportive learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions and tackle challenges. My approach focuses on fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills, ensuring students not only succeed academically but also develop a love for learning that they can use to build a vision of what they want for their future academic ventures.
I am eager to help students achieve their goals, whether preparing for exams, mastering challenging concepts, or building a strong foundation for future success. Let's work together to unlock your full potential!" less...
