"Hi, I'm Tyler! I am currently a PhD candidate at CU Boulder in astrophysics. I study black holes and what they might look like through our telescopes. I've always loved math and science, and I enjoy sharing what I know! I have 6 years of experience teaching and tutoring in a variety of settings, including one-on-one, group, and online tutoring, in physics, math, and chemistry. I can help with everything from conceptual problems to performing calculations and everything in between. Most of my experience is tutoring college courses, but I can help high school students as well. I've TA'ed numerous courses in astrophysics and programming, and I have an MS in Astrophysics.
My favorite thing about tutoring is knowing that I've helped someone and made a difference in their life! I know that many students dread taking physics and math, but I think anyone can succeed in these subjects when taught correctly. I believe that patience, empathy, and adaptability are essential qualities any tutor should have, and I will tailor our sessions to fit your learning style. I also strive to create an environment where students feel comfortable and relaxed - there are no stupid questions! I make sure that my students leave their sessions feeling confident that they've learned the skills they need to succeed in their course.
I can also tutor some more niche subjects, like:
-Quantum Mechanics
-Classical Mechanics
-Cosmology
-Astrophysics
-Particle Physics
-Real Analysis
I love physics and have taken a broad range of courses, so let me know if you're looking for something very specific!
I'd love to help you with whatever subject you're struggling with, so feel free to contact me if you'd like to learn more or schedule a lesson!" less...
