"There’s so much inherent value in pursuing knowledge. I believe that to learn should be to understand and to be given support so that critical thinking is fostered as a skill. I’d love to help guide students to flourish in their scholarly pursuits so that they can be confident and engaged when it comes to their education.

In terms of real world experience related to tutoring, at my competitive high school, I was a student aide at its elementary/middle school level summer program for a few years. I really enjoyed gaining insight into effective teaching that incorporates a healthy amount of curiosity, time management, and drive for accomplishment, and I hope to apply that to my tutoring!

I am a 3.61 GPA Biology major and Anthropology minor graduate from a respected research university, and I sincerely love both the sciences and the humanities. I was on the Dean's List multiple semesters.

I was awarded first prize in a university wide competition for a scientific paper I wrote on environmentally friendly leather tanning. Both my writing portfolio and upper division writing degree requirements have been approved and fulfilled, with the former requiring pieces such as an argumentative research paper, a rhetorical analysis paper, and a personal narrative work.
