"Hello! My name is Savannah and I am looking to tutor students primarily at the middle school and high school level. I am currently working towards my teaching degree. I have one semester to go, my final student teaching, and I will be a certified high school chemistry teacher. I have tutored classmates since high school. My teachers always told me I’d make a great teacher from how I tutored. Throughout college, I would help peers, friends, and family members with their classes.

I was a chemistry teacher for a few months last year before the position was filled. I found that the students loved learning chemistry and that they would come to me for help with their algebra class. I found that I was able to effectively tutor in this class as well as chemistry. I chose to expand my tutoring in order to have more experience with students including students of varying backgrounds and skill level. I would love to help you succeed, while you are helping me become a better teacher!

I have passed Missouri Education Gateway Assessment (MEGA) for chemistry. I have taught chemistry in the high school setting. I spend free time practicing chemistry problems. The better I am at them, the better I can teach the information in different ways to appeal to different learners.
