"I'm Kayci! I have a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, and I graduated with a 3.99 GPA. In my program, I learned advanced chemistry, physics, and mathematics. I also took several computer science courses, and I am currently working as a data analyst. I have always been a huge nerd, especially when it comes to science. I also deeply value education. I have always prioritized education in my own life, and I want to help other people get the best education they possibly can. I see tutoring as a way that I can use my talents and passions to help others reach their full potential.
I have been tutoring since my freshman year of college, and I absolutely love it! I am a CRLA Level 3 certified tutor, and I have hundreds of hours of experience with 1-on-1 tutoring for college-level science and mathematics. As an undergraduate student, I dedicated over 500 hours of volunteer work to tutoring my fellow students. I primarily tutored chemistry, physics, calculus, and computer science. I also worked as a physics tutor for my university, and I have done freelance tutoring for high school students as well.
For me, being a tutor goes beyond just helping students get by in their classes. I think that fostering self-reliance is the most important thing a tutor can do. I do my best to help my students learn problem-solving skills as much as the facts and formulas they need to memorize. I teach them how to approach problems that they might not immediately know how to solve. I hope to teach my students so well, they won't need me anymore!" less...
