I've worked with students in middle school and high school classes covering new math standards, common core, integrated math and beyond. I've been a math nerd my entire life. When I was in high school, I was a year ahead in math courses and scored a 36 on the math portion of the ACT. When I was finishing my undergraduate degree, I continued to take math courses as my "fun" electives. To this day, I continue to take every ACT test when it is released just to see if I've still got it. I love learning newer, faster, tricks to solving problems and passing that knowledge onto students.

I received my first bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago in biology; after that, I continued to take classes to supplement that degree and earn my teaching certification for high school science classes. I have extensive experience taking, teaching and tutoring a variety of courses from a number of biology disciplines. I try to tutor these subjects the same way I would teach them: bringing in real world connections to abstract ideas and teaching different studying techniques for various concepts.
