My name is Richard and I have been tutoring in the Nashville area for over eight years. I received my BA in Biology from Drew University and went on to obtain my PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Pennsylvania. Throughout my career I have been involved in educating my fellows both formally in tutoring and classroom situations and informally during on the job training.

My philosophy is that a student should not only know the right answer but understand how to come to the right answer and the relevance of this knowledge in their daily lives. I dedicate myself to patient explanations of the materials leavened with entertaining trivia and asides that add context and a little fun to the learning.
