During my undergraduate years I worked as a teaching assistant for an intro biology class and tutored high school students in various science courses. I now work as a lab technician in a virology lab at Columbia University School of Medicine. I plan to go to medical school in the next couple of years.
Science did not start out as my favorite subject in school. In high school, I found more success on the field than in the classroom. It was not until I had a tutor of my own who believed that success in science is fostered through enjoyment. With a newfound passion for unravelling the mysteries of the natural world through science, I excelled in biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry during my undergraduate years.
