"Please allow me to introduce myself. I'm Rita originally from Chicago, IL. I moved here to Louisiana because I got married to a Louisiana Gentleman. When I arrived yes, it was a culture shock but I've learned to love Louisiana. I've been living in Gonzales for the past 4.5 years. Being from a large metropolitan city I didn't know how much I suffered from "hurried woman syndrome!" My life has slowed down tremendously.

I worked and retired from the Chicago Transit Authority after twenty two years of service. I graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BS in Secondary Education. I later received my first Masters in Business Administration and my second Masters in Construction Management. While here in Louisiana I received my Divinity Studies Diploma. I love to teach. My gifts are to encourage and help people to succeed in whatever their short or long term goals are. I am a motivator.

I was previously a substitute teacher in Ascension Parish for three years teaching in various schools in the area and teaching various subjects before accepting a full-time teaching position in Baton Rouge. I've taught children, young adults, and continuing adult education course throughout my career. Teaching has always been my first love.

Presently I teach Biblical Studies Programs and GED preparation courses in the women's prison in St. Gabriel, LA. Students are motivated my my instruction and I have a 98% retention rate in class participation.

Now in my present life and being an empty-nester I would like to assist working parents with their children taking some the pressures off them because of busy schedules, but knowing they could rest assured that the task at hand will be handled with proven results, making them very proud of their child(ren) and their increased reading and or math scores.

If the child(ren) see and know that their grades has improved the smiles on their faces will come alone with increased confidence knowing that they can do all things if they have the desire.
