"With over 20 years of experience teaching science in public schools, I bring a deep passion for helping students achieve academic success. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a supporting area in Chemistry from Ball State University and a second degree in Applied Computer Science from the University of Colorado Boulder. My diverse educational background equips me to tutor in areas such as high school biology, freshman chemistry, general science, and even computer programming.

Throughout my career, I have taught high school biology and freshman chemistry in traditional classroom settings, as well as general science courses covering a wide array of topics. Currently along with the general science courses, I teach a Python certification course for high school students, providing them with valuable skills for the future. Additionally, coaching robotics teams for nearly a decade has helped me educate students in STEM by combining hands-on engineering with critical thinking and teamwork.

My teaching style is adaptable and student-focused. Whether working in a classroom setting with groups or one-on-one as a tutor, I strive to meet each student where they are academically. As a public school teacher, I regularly differentiate lessons, tailoring them to individual needs. While some students work independently, I provide targeted support to those who need additional guidance, ensuring no one is left behind.
