Retiring at 55 left me free to pursue my own interests; however the 'something missing' from retirement is the fulfillment that teaching brought me. I continue working for the College Board every summer as an AP Exam Reader, which keeps my skills sharp and my sense of evaluation precise.
I can help any student who wants to learn reach a much higher level of skill in both reading comprehension and writing to convince others. My goal is always to advance critical thinking to help young adults be more successful and confident. I ask questions and then guide my students to find their own answers. However, those answers have to be logical and convincing. Knowledge is truly power in today's world. Without a real drive to learn, students settle for following instead of leading. Total independence comes with confidence and leadership skills. For those who want and need my help, I am available.
