"I'm Holly-- I graduated from NYU Tisch and earned my BFA in Drama, with honors, in three years. I'm a professional actor and member of both SAG-AFTRA and Actor's Equity. I've studied Method acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, the Meisner technique and performing Shakespeare at the Advanced Classical Studio, and on-camera technique for film and television at Stonestreet Studios. I've starred in commercials, worked on Emmy-award-winning television shows, and performed on Broadway. I work at a self-tape studio here in LA and have helped actors book television roles. With self-tapes, I have experience coaching, reading, taping, and editing.
As a tutor, I've been working with children professionally since I was eighteen and studying at NYU. I primarily work with children K-6. I work to help children stay focused, motivated, and find the fun in learning. I'm familiar with common core techniques taught in many schools in Los Angeles. I've helped children learn how to read, write essays, and find their own voice. I'm generally experienced in all elementary math and science as well. I'm particularly helpful in teaching students how to study and memorize for tests. I've seen my student's test scores go from failing to an "A" in less than a year. I'm incredibly proud of my students.
