"When I moved from Indiana to Phillips Academy Andover, I quickly realized how different the academic environment was compared to what I was used to. The classes were rigorous, and I initially struggled to keep up. But those challenges taught me how to learn effectively—how to break down complex concepts, approach problems systematically, and retain information using creative strategies. Now, as a peer tutor, I’ve turned those experiences into a teaching approach that meets students where they are. I specialize in making learning engaging by using fun games and relatable examples, helping students not only understand the material but also enjoy the process. Whether it’s simplifying AP Physics concepts or turning SAT prep into a series of achievable goals, my methods focus on building confidence and understanding.
In addition to tutoring my peers, I’ve demonstrated the success of these methods through my own achievements. I’ve earned a perfect 1590 on the SAT (800 Math, 790 Reading) and a 36 on the ACT (perfect scores across Math, Science, and English). I’ve excelled in AP courses like AP Chemistry, AP Biology, and AP Physics C, as well as advanced post-AP courses in subjects like Multivariable Calculus, Organic Chemistry, and Computational Biochemistry. These experiences not only give me a strong foundation in a wide range of subjects but also allow me to offer specialized support for students tackling challenging material. Whether you’re preparing for a big test, struggling with a tough class, or just looking to improve your skills, I’m here to help you reach your goals—and maybe even have a little fun along the way!" less...
