"I am currently a senior BS Biochemistry student at UNC Chapel Hill, with an expected graduation date in May 2025. I have personally taken several chemistry courses, including organic, inorganic, analytical, general, physical, and quantum chemistry. Additionally, I have experience in cellular biology, genetics, anatomy, physiology, and psychology. Furthermore, I have taken calculus I, II, and III as well as differential equations, all of which were further studied in two calculus-based physics courses. I am on the Dean's list for UNC Chapel Hill for all semesters I have been enrolled as a student (with the exception of second semester sophomore year).
In the realm of teaching, I began tutoring in highschool and first year at college for middle schoolers. I took a brief pause from tutoring sophomore year of college, not to resume until second semester junior year where I became a TA for CHEM 430 (introduction to biochemistry). In order to become a TA at UNC, I had to take two corequisite courses, one which studied the science of teaching as well as a chemistry apprenticeship. These courses really showed me how to best prepare students for academic challenges in a way which is most beneficial to the student. I loved being a TA for the past year, as I enjoyed teaching a subject I am passionate about. I seek to continue this journey via this website.
Outside of the classroom, I thoroughly enjoyed attending all UNC football, basketball, and even some soccer games in my free time. I am also a lifetime Pittsburgh Steelers fan, but I enjoy watching football in any situation. I also enjoy weightlifting and playing pickup basketball. I also work at the UNC Medical Hospital as a nursing assistant, with goals to become a physician in the future." less...
