"Hello, my name is Kristen M., and with over 10 years of classroom experience, I am passionate about student success. I taught Kindergarten and 4th grade during those 10 years, and was also the data and instructional practices coach for 1 year most recently. I find teaching extremely rewarding, especially when I can make a good, solid connection with the student, which I think encourages a motivation to learn.

I also am ABA certified, which means I have the knowledge and ability to work with students of all learning styles and needs. My personal approach to teaching and tutoring is to make sure my students know their learning target and can state clearly what they should be able to do by the end of each lesson. For example, if the learning target is "I can identify the letters of the alphabet," at the end of the lesson, the student(s) should be able to see and state their progress toward that goal.
