"I am a fourth-year student majoring in chemistry and psychology with a minor in biology, and this coming academic year, I will begin my medical education. In the past, I have spent time helping students with high school-level chemistry, algebra I and II, geometry, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, undergraduate-level general chemistry, and organic chemistry. Furthermore, at my institution, I have been a teaching assistant for over two years, including serving as the Head Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Organic Chemistry I and II.
I enjoy teaching, fostering connections, and working with students to see their light-bulb moments.
I have tutored students in a variety of subjects with varying difficulties, mainly high school chemistry, undergraduate-level general chemistry, and organic chemistry I and II. In my courses, I earned an A or A-, and while serving as a teaching assistant, I refined my understanding of the subject. While navigating these classes as a student and TA I learned the different misconceptions as well as different ways to approach challenging concepts. I work to understand and adapt to the student's needs, often relying on tangible examples and analogies to make challenging concepts easier to understand. Once I teach a concept, I like to work through examples to show the different ways to approach questions, as well as the thought process relating to it. After having done so, I let the student try the questions on their own, and help them when needed. In the end, I like to work with the student, ensure they understand the concept, and give it my level best to make sure they are satisfied.
Reaching out for help and hiring a tutor is a challenging task. Every student is different, and ultimately, with hard work and determination, it is possible to receive the help you need. I will be more than happy to work with you and put in just as much, or even more effort, in ensuring your success. Feel free to reach out if you need some help!" less...
