I tutor one-on-one with middle-school, high school, and college students, specializing in math, economics, and science. To start, I like to find out the student’s goals. Afterward I introduce content while incorporating real world examples to make the material more interesting. Then I use problems to assess proficiency. I work in healthcare in addition to tutoring, and routinely work one on one with patients across the ability spectrum. I’m prepared to meet students wherever they are at, and am flexible accommodating those who may require an adaptable teaching style. Previously, I spent 4 summers as a swim instructor, teaching students ages 7-18 one on one and in small groups.
In High School I scored 99th percentile on the ACT, while passing microeconomics, macroeconomics, biology, physics, and statistics AP exams. I then graduated UW-Madison with a 3.7 GPA. I received a 4.0 on all required pre-medicine courses including chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, physics, and biology. Notably, I was the top scorer in my 500 student General Chemistry class. Separately, in the business school, I received A’s in calculus, macroeconomics, and investment banking. I enjoy finding tricks to apply math to science, and teaching them to others." less...
