"During these challenging times, your children need a stable, cheerful, safe tutor who truly cares about them as individuals, their academic accomplishments and the application of what they learn so it is useful for them. I work to spark a student's curiosity and interest in our world by making subjects personally interesting to them.
I graduated from Penn State University with a BS degree in Elementary Education (K-6). Upon graduation, I worked with a new private school in Washington DC, developing a K-12 hands-on, individualized academic curriculum for students attending the school.
From there I worked as a Child Care Supervisor at The Harbor Schools in Newburyport, Mass. More recently I taught Reading, English, Spelling, Language Arts and Math (K-6) for three years in an after school program at Children's Academic Learning Center in Temple City, and tutored elementary students needing extra help there. During the Covid shut-down of many public schools, I worked with a a small group of parent and their children, providing a live classroom environment for five students. Currently I work individually with students and parents to reach their academic goals.
