My name is Alicia and I am an experienced and passionate academic tutor.

I have honed my skills in research, writing, and analysis, and I am eager to share this expertise by helping students strengthen their academic skills. With a strong background in history, legal studies, and tutoring experience, I believe I am well-suited to make a positive impact on any student who learns from me.

During my undergraduate studies at the University at Albany (SUNY), where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in History, cum laude, I developed a passion for mentoring my peers. Through various tutoring positions, I guided students in improving their research, writing, and critical thinking skills. My academic focus on history and its connection to political movements led to the completion of my senior thesis, which was presented at the History Department's Bi-Annual Research Symposium. This experience not only sharpened my research abilities but also gave me valuable insights into effective communication and the importance of clarity when explaining complex concepts.

In law school, I have continued to expand my skills, particularly in legal research and writing. I am on law review and mentor underclassman academically and interpersonally. This experience of collaborating with peers and refining academic work makes me confident in my ability to mentor students in a tutoring capacity. Additionally I have tutored at multiple local charter schools in my region.

In addition to my academic experience, I am committed to community involvement and leadership. I have led fundraising efforts for various charity races.

With skills in legal analysis, communication, and various software such as Microsoft Excel and HTML, I am eager to apply my experience in impactful work.
