"Hi, I am John David. I am 23 years old and a recently graduated college student. I went to Mitchell College in New London, CT and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal and Professional Studies in May 2024. Also, some of my hobbies include bike riding, using and collecting older electronics, and spending time with family.

Although I have never been a teacher before, I have some experience working with students. For example, I have worked as a paraprofessional in several public schools for a few months (mainly in elementary schools), and have tutored students of various ages individually online. A few common themes among these students is they are struggling with classwork, were below their reading goals, or had a disability such as autism.

With that in mind, my preferred approach to tutoring is to first ask the student what he or she is struggling with, allow time to introduce ourselves, ask and answer questions during the session, and allow the student to work independently for a few minutes or longer (depending on the length of time).
