"I teach Kindergarten through 12th grade in computer programming and software development as an instructor at STEAM Studios AZ. I have a BA degree from Michigan State University and 5 years of software development experience with a CompTIA Security+ cybersecurity certification. I know a variety of languages (Java, JavaScript) and enterprise development technologies, frameworks, libraries, and architectures (Spring, React, Kubernetes, Docker, Microservices).

I began my career as a Programmer/Analyst with RGIS LLC writing programs to generate audit, client, and internal reports for inventories that RGIS conducted around the world. The programs were written using MySQL. Our whole team participated in daily scrum meetings.

Following that I got my Security+ certification and worked as a SOC Analyst with Ally Bank. I would monitor and respond to alerts in Splunk, help run meetings to counter attacks, and do analysis of logs to find indicators of compromise.

From there I began working with Infosys Ltd. I went on contract with American Express. I helped write Java microservices for American Express' credit card network modernization program. I also worked with many different software development DevOps applications such as Kubernetes and Docker. I took part in many hackathons while at Infosys and developed front ends for those applications in React, using JavaScript with JSX.
