"Hi there! I graduated from UT Austin with a BS in Math but found a strong interest in programming after graduation. This led to me get my BS in Computer Science at Texas State University where I was a supplemental instructor for the second semester CS course and had the privilege to work on some research focused on parallel programming in C. I found low level programming to be my favorite area of focus, so outside of my day job programming in Java I study graphics programming.

My tutoring style is to focus on understanding the fundamentals and not just what is necessary to get the current problem solved. This is how I studied for both of my degrees and feel that it can set you up for success to dive even further into interesting areas of programming later on. For example before diving further into graphics programming I realized I needed to go back through linear algebra because it's so fundamental to the topic. Knowing and understanding are two different things and I want those I tutor to not only know the material but fully understand it.
