My name is Shahrose; I am a freelance software engineer and hobbyist game developer. I've enjoyed teaching my whole my life: from coaching competitive children's math teams to privately consulting adult programmers.
Coding is taught very poorly in schools; professors hastily brush through core concepts and their pedanticism often makes people's first exposure overwhelming. I like to bring a fresher, more grounded approach to programming, especially for beginners. For my more advanced students, I like to share the standard practices I've picked up as a professional that school curricula never seem to cover.

I am most comfortable programming in C#, Python, and Java. I've worked in many different industries (fin-tech, hospitality, entertainment) with many different libraries and technologies. I do very well with people completely new to programming, but my knowledge also extends to more niche topics like game and web development.
HOBBIES
