"Hi, I'm Steve. I am from Boston Massachusetts and currently live right outside of Boston. I am an experienced computer programming, math, and computer engineering tutor. I have more than 7 years of experience in the computer science field, especially with general programming concepts, object-oriented design, and the C and C++ languages. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a 3.7 GPA. During my time in college, I worked as a computer science and computer engineering, math, and science tutor for fellow students. I love helping students obtain a better understanding of what they are studying, and act as a resource for them in their studies.

Outside of academia, I currently work as a Software Engineer in the Medical Device industry helping to create life-saving medical technology through programming. In my spare time, I enjoy running, hiking, C++/C coding challenges, and video games.

I focus on breaking Calculus problems into smaller, more manageable parts. Once we understand the small components in a difficult problem, we can begin to understand and tackle the larger problem.

I have more than 7 years of experience working as a professional software engineer and solving difficult programming problems, as well as designing and implementing code for life-saving medical devices. I think it is crucial to know that programming does NOT need to be scary! Many students can feel overwhelmed by new or difficult programming or engineering topics, but I take time with each student to help them understand every part of a problem and help to erase the anxiety and confusion they may have when faced with a difficult challenge.
