"I have held classrooms for many levels, ranging from middle school programs teaching kids Python to upper year University courses on machine learning and network security. Tutoring is not the same as teaching classrooms though, it is a very personal experience. As a private tutor, my goal is to help the student achieve their goal - whether that be expanding their understanding of a topic, achieving a good score on an exam, or gaining the confidence and skills to complete assignments.
The classes I have covered at the University of Toronto were Intro to Computer Science (Python), Intro to Computer Science II (C and memory model), Software Engineering principles (Java, OOP, Design patterns, Testing), Data structures and Algorithms (DSA: Greedy, Divide and Conquer, Dynamic Programming, Proofs), Computer and Network security (wireshark, nmap), and Machine Learning fundamentals (Regression, Classification, Clustering). Beyond this, I have tutored many related subjects including AP Computer Science Principles (aka AP CSP), software engineer technical interview preparation, and competitive programming training (USACO, CCC).
My game development background is heavily in Roblox, having worked on many games including a personal project that has accumulated over 5M visits. I have tutored young children with getting started on Roblox Studio and introductory programming. Fun fact: I started coding because I wanted to make Roblox games when I was 11, and so my parents put me in a summer camp.
