"Welcome! I am a special education and autism teacher, as well as a special needs mom. I know a lot about kids and their sensory issues, OCD issues and working within their comfort zones.

I believe learning must be fun for everyone. Anyone can learn, and making things fun only helps that process. I love teaching at the elementary level using crafts, videos, games and books! I love to make learning fun and engaging.

I am good at finding books that grab a child's interest while still close to or at their reading level. Starting with an easy reading level helps build confidence so that a child will naturally reach for more difficult books and words.

I am dual certified in elementary education and special education. Most of my 30 years of teaching experience has been teaching children, special needs or regular students at the elementary level.

I have been a homeschool mom and tutor for 17 years. Need I say more?

I tailor learning to reaching a special needs child's abilities and interests. I do not get hung up on grade levels and academic achievements, because pushing too hard too seizes learning opportunities. Making things fun and interesting makes the child forget they are really doing schoolwork at all!
