"I am a Special Education Math & Science teacher with Chicago Public Schools. I graduated from the Chicago Teacher Residency in 2021. Prior to entering the residency, I worked for District 86 – Joliet as a Long-Term Guest Teacher and Instructional Paraprofessional. I consider myself to be a lifelong learner. My education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership, Master of Arts in Educating Adults, and Master of Education in Special Education with Distinction from DePaul University. I am VERY familiar with Kindergarten through 5th grade Common Core Math. I have taught this subject and its concepts for the last seven years.

Over the past two years, I spent a lot of time working with Thinking Core which is one of the best reading programs in the United States. The curriculum includes vocabulary and writing which are critical components to reading.

I spent two years teaching phonics in Kindergarten. I also had very extensive training from DePaul University during my residency.
