"I have been an educator for five years. I have an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s In Special Education. I’m currently in a post baccalaureate program in Autism Studies. I’ve worked as both a general and special educator, and I’m passionate about teaching!

I teach in a multi-sensory, structured, and explicit way. I discuss goals with my students (even my youngest), so they can be involved participants in their own learning. I use visuals and predicable, yet engaging, routines to help my students grow as learners. I’m passionate about learning and reading, and even my reluctant readers pick up on this attitude.

I have a Master’s degree in Special Education, and I am currently enrolled in an Autism Studies Program. I work as an inclusion/resource teacher, so I am proficient in current intervention strategies and support in both academics and social/behavioral learning. I am trained in Orton Gillingham Plus (with phonological awareness) and Wilson Reading Program. An explicit, synthetic, and multi sensory approach is key when working with students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties. I use monthly progress monitoring to determine my students’ present levels and growth and I communicate this progress with their parents.
