"I have had two successful tutoring experiences. The first one was with a friend's daughter heading off to middle school just after being diagnosed with dyslexia. The second was last year, when I taught a homebound kindergarten student who was also bilingual.

I have my master's degree in educational technology, and undergraduate degree from Metropolitan State College in Denver where I graduated with honors. I majored in behavioral science and minored in biology. With an additional 36 credit hours, I graduated with my degree in elementary education.

Depending on the needs of the learners, I can create lessons or curriculum based on student interest. I have used Wilson Foundations, Fontas Pinnel Leveled Literacy intervention, among others, to meet the needs of all learners. I especially like working with students who struggle with dyslexia and have used online programs like Lexia with success.
