"Hi! My name is Grace and I have an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay. During my time at the university I was a Teacher's Assistant for three undergraduate classes over the course of four semesters. As a TA in these classes (Script analysis, introduction to First Nations Studies, and American Indians in Film) it was my responsibility to facilitate the absorption of course content by directly assisting students with content analysis and analytical writing.
I am incredibly passionate about writing. I am a playwright who has written five plays, with four of them being produced at the university and conference level. I have also received special recognitions from the Kennedy Center Theatre Festival for dramaturgy.
I believe that techniques for education should be specifically tailored to every individual student and their needs. Everyone has a right to an education and access to the tools for personal success.
I am incredibly passionate about script analysis, and during my undergraduate career I developed a curriculum in my American Indians in film class to enhance the student experience. My honors in the major project, Trauma informed pedagogy in American Indians in Film, demonstrated positive student results through enhanced mastery of academic content, while nurturing them as individuals living in the post-pandemic world. My work continues to be used by my Undergraduate honors professor at UWGB.
