Over two decades of teaching have taught me that education can transform lives. My journey began when my own son faced challenges in school—over-activeness, misunderstood behavior. Back then, special education wasn’t commonplace, and students like him were often removed from mainstream classrooms. I knew this had to change. No child should be left behind.

In my classroom, I weave words into life lessons. I believe in a free and flexible style of learning, where students can build self-esteem and grow in confidence. My credentials include a Bachelor’s in English Education and a Master’s in Special Education. I’m certified to teach both English and Special Education. My expertise extends beyond lesson planning and state-exam expectations. I understand the nuances of individual learning needs, especially for students with ADHD, autism, and behavior issues.

Students who entered my classroom struggling often left with newfound skills and confidence. Reading and writing levels improved by at least one grade level within six months. I celebrated their victories—their graduation caps tossed high, dreams taking flight. My faith-inspired teaching occasionally drew upon my higher power, imparting valuable life lessons beyond the textbooks.
