"Hello! I’m Brandon, a classically trained pianist and jazz instrumentalist currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
I have been tutoring students aged 6 - 25, including those with ADHD and autism, for over 7 years in math, science, engineering, and music; both independently and with education centers. I seek not only to impart a robust understanding of the course, but to generate a deep interest in the subject. Of course, there is the option of keeping our time together brief with an expedited course plan.
I started out simply helping out my classmates in middle school, not only because I wanted to be nice, but because I wanted to see everyone succeed alongside me. This evolved into me essentially teaching classes during lunch, including kids I’ve never even met. This was when I learned I could teach. And so here I am, with hundreds of past students, hundreds of past successes, and enjoying it every bit as much as I did in middle school.
As a computer science student and lab technician, I use math everyday in my work. The same exact things we learn in high school, I use to solve real world problems and create solutions from designing car modifications to calibrating sensitive equipment. At the least, this makes me well aquatinted with math; and at the most makes me a talking calculator.
Education is one of my many passions. If there is any way you think I can be of assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out and I’d be very happy to answer any questions or concerns." less...
