"I have taught statistics at the college level. I have found great joy working one-on-one with students I've taught, as well as students I have mentored through graduate studies. I enjoy helping people grasp the ideas behind their schoolwork.

I believe in the "teach a man how to fish" approach. I want students to be able to grasp the concepts, not just memorize facts.

Many students may be more engaged by different modes of instruction - a "visual learner" would have a hard time learning via an oral lecture. I think it's best to learn from the student how they optimally comprehend subject matter, so they can adopt strategies that work for them."
