"Hi, I'm Yooni. I'm a recent graduate from Harvard College, and I studied CS and psychology. Having graduated from school recently, I know what it's like to feel like classes are sometimes a bit too fast-paced and like you don't have enough time to fully digest the material. Having a teacher who can be there for you to help you engage with the material and clarify any lingering questions you may have is so important. When I tutor, I try to use this approach to be the mentor you need. Based on the type of help you need, I am willing to help with any homework troubles you may have, or come up with new example questions based on the material you are going over in class. I try to nudge my students in the right direction, helping them be as independent as possible.
I have experience with tutoring a Korean student in her assignments, and helped her strengthen her reading and writing skills. Although I do not have professional tutoring experience in algebra, I helped my peers often when they were struggling to understand. I excelled in honors prealgebra, algebra, geometry, and precalculus in high school. In addition, I am fluent in Korean reading, writing, and speaking, with my first language being Korean and having received an 800 on the SAT Korean subject test. I am open to any resources or suggestions that parents are willing to provide, since I would like to be the most helpful resource I can be for my students. Please feel free to contact me for any questions or to schedule lessons!" less...
