"Hi there! My name is Will Sanok D and I am currently a sophomore student at Yale University majoring in Neuroscience. I am an experienced tutor with a focus on SAT and ACT tutoring but I also help middle and high school students improve in their classes across a variety of subjects.
As a high school student, I spent countless hours going over SAT and ACT practice tests and developing strategies for test-taking that allowed me to score a 1570 on the SAT and a 35 on the ACT. After spending so much time figuring out what worked for me, I am passionate about sharing my strategies and studying techniques with other high school students looking to improve their own scores. Although I am new to Wyzant, I have independently tutored multiple high school students on the SAT and helped them significantly improve their scores. In high school, I also gained experience as a volunteer peer tutor where I helped younger students complete homework and study for tests in classes across a variety of academic disciplines.
My SAT and ACT tutoring strategy centers around practice tests, which I believe are the key to improving scores. I use practice tests to diagnose students’ strengths and weaknesses and then provide targeted lessons to improve those weaknesses. I also go through practice tests with students, to teach them real-time test taking strategies and time management skills that are crucial for scoring well on the SAT and ACT. I love developing a connection with my students and believe doing so is a critical part of tutoring. I also love to give other students advice and guidance on all things related to their academic journey, especially the college admissions process. Please reach out if you are interested in learning more about my tutoring experience and strategies or if you’d like to schedule a session!" less...
