"Hey everyone! My name is Mo and I have been tutoring for over half a decade. I am from Canada and started tutoring there to help fellow students find the learning style that works best for them! I taught in different organizations, such as Mathnasium and UC Davis, and have been exposed to many different types of students.
I am currently finishing my bachelor’s degree in physiology at UC Davis and will be applying to medical school in the spring. I am also a researcher and learning assistant at Davis. Of course, I could not stay away from my hobby of teaching as I strive to help students improve their grades and even teach them good learning habits that will stay with them long term!
Most of the students I have worked with are from middle school to college level, but I have also had the amazing experience of working with students in elementary school who are just beginning to learn how they learn. I typically like to begin by trying different methods of teaching to find the one that works best for them and the subject they are trying to learn. The one method for all approach to teaching is something that I am strongly against.
Something that has helped me come a long way is my openness to feedback from my clients! I encourage both students and the parents of students to keep me in the loop on how I may improve my teaching style to fit their needs! This is something that a lot of my clients have found helpful.
I hope to help you find the best way for you to learn and accompany you on your journey! Please do not hesitate to reach out to me and I will be happy to provide more information about myself." less...
