"Hello. I am Kristi, and I spent 23 years as a High School English teacher. I taught grades 9-12 as well as AP English Language and Composition. My students were successful and learned English in a manner that allowed them to be successful in Dual Credit classes as well as other English classes at the collegiate level. I teach research in a traditional manner using notecards to ensure information is added in the correct manner and alleviates the possibility of being accused of plagiarism. I have a love of writing and encourage students to reach outside their comfort zone when expressing themselves while yet adhering to the conventions of writing.
I have a passion for helping students understand literature and be confident in their abilities to write and comprehend reading. I am a voracious reader to this day. I pride myself on grammar and proofreading abilites.
Although I am now a school principal, I still take time to tutor my students when needed. I read tests and classroom literature to those in need of a reader for such things as dyslexia accommodations. I hope to help you with your needs in your English classes." less...
