"I am a recent SUNY Orange graduate of the nursing program there. I was an adult student working towards a third and hopefully final career. I graduated with honors and passed the NCLEX on my first attempt about a month after graduation. I tutored for 2 of the semesters during nursing school. I have 15 years experience in healthcare as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and manager of long term care nursing facilities.

Nursing school can become overwhelming without a plan and an organized approach. Besides all of the lab values, pathophysiology, medications, and general nursing theories we need to know for our tests, there is also clinical to prepare for and skills tests to be passed. Tutoring with me will include recommended organization of tasks on any given week or throughout your program.

When it comes to the NCLEX, there are definite study strategies and test taking strategies to implement. There are many great resources and can help point you in the right direction. There is a significant amount of material to be aware of for the test and it is not about memorizing everything but assessing what the question is asking.
