"Are you watching your child struggle and wondering if there’s a better way? With 18 years of experience as a public school teacher, I’ve seen how kids can lose their spark in overcrowded classrooms. I’ve also witnessed how personalized support can reignite their curiosity and love for learning.
One-on-one and small group tutoring are my superpower. I connect with children on a personal level, giving them the attention they need, especially those who might be getting lost in traditional classrooms. My methods are all about nurturing that spark, tailoring each session to what your child needs most—whether it’s building a strong foundation in reading or conquering the complexities of math.
I work best with students who are open to learning and willing to engage with the material. When your child brings their homework, class notes, or online resources to our sessions, we can achieve great things together. My approach is to encourage, motivate, and use every tool available to nurture that spark of curiosity. When a child has completely given up or refuses to participate, I might not be the right fit for academic help. Maybe we need to tune in together first and release some of the trauma that can be caused from the school environment. Learning requires both effort and openness.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and completed all credits for a middle school teaching degree with a minor in math and reading/language arts. I am certified in K-12 special education and middle school mathematics. Additionally, I am trained in a nationally recognized dyslexia program, where I have the privilege of being mentored by a professional with 18 years of experience in dyslexia education.
