"As a lifelong artist I've always known that I have a passion for artistic expression and the joy that comes from exercising those artistic skills.

As an educator for the last twelve years, I've found that I also have a passion for helping others grow their skills and explore their creativity, while still rooting those lessons in education. Understanding the 'why' behind concepts like color theory, perspective, and anatomical proportions means that my students are able to leave our session with new knowledge they can take back and apply in their artistic practice for the future.

I've worked as a professional artist in a comics studio and have a lifelong love of Japanese animation, but have also studied extensively in traditional art forms and styles like figure studies and still life paintings.

I like to approach working with my students as an opportunity to help guide them through to whatever their artistic goals are — I don't subscribe to a one-size-fits-all philosophy! I look forward to hearing from you and working together on your creative pursuits!
