"Having just retired from a 33 year career in K-12 Music Education, I have additionally taught private piano, voice and guitar to both students and adults for 40 years. This experience permits me to be comfortable with students of all age and experience levels as well as beginning students including children who are not as yet readers.

My bachelors degree in Music carries majors in Music Ed, Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy, and my Masters Degree is a Master of Arts - Teacher. The coursework for both included work in reading, educational psychology and a high proficiency in computer technology. I am able, through my additional coursework in technology, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Front Page - for web design.

In addition to my music teaching experience, I have substitute taught in general education areas from Kindergarten through high school, including special ed. I carry a valid teaching certificate/license in IL and a substitute license in WI.
