"Hello everyone! I am Taylor. Here is my journey as a teacher and a tutor! I am currently a teacher for grades 6 through 8 and I am a tutor for any student grades 5 through 12. I am a NYS Certified English Teacher for Grades 7 through 12 with an extension to teach English for Grades 5 & 6. My educational philosophy stands for mistakes, as I believe every student who makes a mistake can grow from it and that is what I am here to do! I am currently also a graduate student working towards her Masters of Art in Special Education for all grade levels and Severe Disabilities from Birth through Age 21.

In addition to what is above, here is some of my teaching background. I have composed and am now currently teaching the English honors prep academy curriculum for the seventh and eighth grade students moving into honors for next year. I have been taught how to understand the needs of students and how to adapt my lessons for each student. I have been promoting success for students in various settings. When I work within small groups, one-on-one, or when I am co-teaching a classroom; I have always put myself into the students’ shoes to make sure that every learner is geared towards a higher level of thinking. While we creep towards the end of the school year, I continue to work with students within these small groups to help excel their skills for next year. I am teaching the initial honors prep academy, which is geared to enhance the skills the students will have but provide rigorous content that will have students activating their higher-level thinking skills.
