I am currently pursuing my PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Florida State University. My research focus is on K-12 students whose first language is not English. My method of tutoring is hands on and one-on-one with a student. In all of my seventeen years of teaching a variety of students (gifted to learning disabled to non-native English speakers) I have learned a very important lesson- there is no perfect child and there is always another way of learning. There is no one "right" way and there is no one "wrong" way to learn and to teach. It is all individualized.
