"I am a seventh grade history teacher who has been teaching history for two years. I absolutely love what I do, and I love encouraging others to fall in love with history. I have received lots of formal training in history. I received my bachelor's in History and in European Studies. For my degree in history I took numerous classes in Middle Eastern history and American history. For my degree in European Studies, I took numerous classes in both European politics and history. I also received my masters in History from NYU. I wrote my thesis on the role that women played in domesticating the National Park Service for consumption by American families. I am currently finishing up my master's in education.

I have experience doing one on one tutoring with all age groups. I tutored the three girls I nannied for in college, in all of their subjects. I also tutored a middle school student while at NYU. In addition to my tutoring experience, I am quite experienced in taking history standardized tests. I know what needs to be done to ace them. I received a 780 on my American History SAT II, and I received a score of a 5 on the AP US History test, the AP Political Science Test, the AP European History test, and the AP Art History test. Lastly, I know how to make history fun. The majority of my middle school students last year proclaimed that History was their favorite subject.

I have been teaching history for two years now, and I have had great success in getting my students to excel in history and to love history. I always interweave interesting facts and biographies into my lessons, which engages my students.
