I earned both my bachelor's and master's degrees in history from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and a second master's degree in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University. I hold a clear California History/Social Sciences and English teaching credential. I’ve been an educator in California’s K-12 and adult public school systems since 2014, teaching diverse students of various ages, skill levels, cultural backgrounds, and socioeconomic levels.

As a secondary History/Social Studies and English teacher, I also have extensive experience preparing adult students for the GED/HiSET high school equivalency exams. Since 2017, I've taught subjects like mathematics, social studies, English, and science, with a focus on GED/HiSET math (Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, and Geometry).

In teaching, I have experience in both in-person and remote/online formats, using synchronous and asynchronous lesson delivery. I incorporate Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Flipped Classroom strategies, and I prioritize technology integration to create engaging, relevant lessons for students.
