In 2001 I received my PhD in mathematics, began working as math professor, and also started teaching SAT prep classes. Over the next 10 years I field tested many strategies for standardized tests, and everything I learned was put into my first SAT math prep book, which I published in 2011.
From 2011 to the present I have been writing math books for standardized tests, while teaching college math classes, running classes for standardized tests, and tutoring higher level math.
My passion has always been for mathematics and education. As a PhD in mathematics, I have the mathematical knowledge and skill necessary to understand most mathematics up to and including graduate level courses and mathematical research papers. As an educator, I have a gift for transferring my mathematical knowledge to others.
I have tutored thousands of students for standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, AP Calculus exam, NY Regents exams, SAT math subject tests. In 2011 I published my first SAT math book and soon after formed my company Get 800. Since then I have published more than 20 math books for standardized tests. Many of my customers have received perfect standardized test scores using only my books.
In addition to teaching classes for standardized tests, I have tutored students in all levels of mathematics including advanced undergraduate and graduate courses including multivariable calculus, linear and abstract algebra, real and complex analysis, differential equations, mathematical logic and set theory.
