"I am in my 30th year as an educator. I have a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and hold six teaching certifications. My certifications are from Texas, and I am endorsed in Florida. My teaching experiences have been in grades kindergarten, first, fourth, seventh, as an instructional strategist, and currently as a school librarian. In addition to working in the public schools for many years, I have been employed by Pearson Education as a scorer for standardized testing for several years. In direct tutoring experience, I have successfully tutored online for the past three years for grades kindergarten through graduate level essay writing and have received high ratings and company recognitions. I currently have five published books focused on developmental reading and writing skills.

I relate learning to real life experiences that to help make lasting connections with learning. I believe in a metacognitive approach to learning that involves multi-sensory experiences that enhance retention and make learning a positive experience. Your child will experience success in learning and a positive outlook on themselves and their performance when working with me.

Aside from helping the student succeed academically, my goal is to give you confidence and support to navigate the educational experience. Further, I can assist parents/caregivers as they navigate through the school system and/or homeschooling for the betterment of their child.
