"After graduating from the University of Michigan, I started my teaching career 19 years ago. I have been teaching Special Education for all of those years. I have experience working with students with learning disabilities, ADD/ADHD, students on the Autism Spectrum, cognitive impairments and emotional impairments.

My passion is literacy and I also work as a literacy tutor for adults. I make it a practice to review the latest techniques and brain research to help me understand how to reach my students in different ways. I understand that each student is unique and requires a different teaching approach based upon his or her individual needs and strengths.
