"Recently, I graduated from New York University with my masters in Educational Theatre and Teaching Certification in English and theatre. I believe English instruction should teach students how to think clearly and communicate those thoughts. With my theatre background, I help students develop and organize those thoughts. Through creativity, students connect to literature in new ways. By viewing assignments artistically, essay writing becomes exciting.
I have worked with students in private settings and in the classroom both in California and New York City. My focus is getting to know students and their individual learning styles and needs in order to best support them in academic growth. I strive to meet students where they are in their academic journeys. Together, we set goals and formulate a plan for success.
Reading and writing are complex processes! I help students break down the process so they can improve reading comprehension, reading fluency, essay organization, and essay writing. I utilize Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences. Every learner is different, and I work with individuals to discover the best way to learn and develop academic skills.
Send me a message! I'd love to help you meet your reading and writing goals!" less...
