On the other hand you have tutors that are good at a variety of subjects yet master none. Some value a personal connection with students, others prefer to maintain a professional distance. My reason for writing this? It's crucial that as a student or parent of a student you select a person with the style that works best for you!
My name is Dyane and I consider myself an excellent and unorthodox tutor. My style? Whatever works for the student! I pride myself on the my ability to adjust my tutoring style into a format that my students will understand. Some students perform better when they understand the concept. Some students may respond favorably to a lecture style format. Others need more visual aids in order to commit information to memory.
